TrainingCancer Biology Training Program
The Cancer Biology Training Program is offered to predoctoral and postdoctoral students who wish to pursue a career in cancer research. Students fulfill cancer biology minor requirements in addition to those of the basic science department.
Most Cancer Biology Training Program faculty are IU Simon Cancer Center members. Trainees are exposed to a broad range of cancer-related research encompassing both basic and clinical aspects of the disease. Trainees attend both a basic science and a clinical seminar series, co-sponsored by the IU Simon Cancer Center, and participate in the IU Simon Cancer Center Annual Cancer Research Day (pictured left).
Stipends are awarded annually on a competitive basis to trainees of the program. Funds for these stipend are provided by a National Cancer Institute grant as well as the IU Simon Cancer Center and the DeVault endowment established by an IU School of Medicine alum.
