Event Calendar

In honor of the 10th anniversary of Miles for Myeloma, our cyclists will cover 1,000 miles together between Sept. 1 and Oct. 5. Our 2014 celebration is composed of multiple events, and there are many ways you can support the cause!

  • Saturday, Sept. 27 & Sunday, 28 – Eagle Creek Park Rides

    Eagle Creek Park, 7840 W 56th St., Indianapolis, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. each day
    The cyclists will ride an eight-mile loop to reach 120 miles each day. 
    Eagle Creek Park Mt. Pleasant Shelter N will serve as “home base” for the day, so cyclists should gather there to participate.

  • Monday, Sept. 29 & Tuesday, Sept. 30 – Decade of Dedication Celebration

    Michigan Street lobby of the IU Health Simon Cancer Center, 1030 W. Michigan St.,  9 a.m. – 5 p.m. each day
    For two days, a Miles for Myeloma cyclist will be riding a stationary bike in the lobby of the IU Health Simon Cancer Center. ALL are welcome to hop on a second stationary bike alongside the cyclist and show your support for the cause! Patients, friends, family, researchers, nurses and other supporters of Miles for Myeloma may sign up to ride in 15-minute increments on the stationary bike.   • Friday, Oct. 3 – Miles for Myeloma 2014 Send-Off

    Fesler Circle on the IUPUI campus, 8 a.m.
    ALL are welcome to join us for donuts and coffee as we send off Dr. Abonour and the Miles for Myeloma cyclists on their three-day, 300-mile ride. Join us! Parking is available in the IUPUI Vermont Street garage. The Fesler Circle is located on the north side of Michigan Street just behind the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Eye Institute.  Click here to view map. In the event of rain: The send-off will take place from the lobby of IU Health Simon Cancer Center Pavilion, 535 Barnhill Drive (located directly across from the Vermont Street Garage). 

  • Friday, Oct. 3 through Sunday, Oct. 5 – Miles for Myeloma 2014

    On Friday, Oct. 3, the cyclists will travel from the IUPUI campus in downtown Indianapolis to Spencer, Ind. On Saturday, they will continue on to Terre Haute. On Sunday, they will return to downtown Indianapolis.

  • Sunday, Oct. 5 – Miles for Myeloma 2014 Finish Line Celebration

    Scottish Rite Cathedral, 650 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis, 4:15 p.m.
    ALL are welcome at the finish line as the cyclists conclude their 1,000-mile mission! Free parking is available at the Scottish Rite. The finish-line celebration will be immediately followed by the annual dinner and educational symposium for myeloma patients & families. Click here to register for the dinner
