Miles for Myeloma 2016 Events
Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016 – Dancing for Dennis
All are welcome to join the family and friends of Dennis Trackwell as they celebrate his memory by coming together for a meal, silent auction and dancing to benefit Miles for Myeloma. Monday, Sept. 26 and Tuesday, Sept. 27 – M4M Spin
Michigan Street lobby of the IU Health Simon Cancer Center, 1030 W. Michigan St.
9 am – 4 pm each day
To kick off the 12th annual Miles for Myeloma, we will once again host an “M4M Spin” event. For two days, a Miles for Myeloma cyclist will be riding a stationary bike in the lobby of the IU Health Simon Cancer Center. ALL are welcome to hop on a second stationary bike alongside the cyclist and show your support for the cause! Patients, friends, family, researchers, nurses and other supporters of Miles for Myeloma may sign up to ride in 15-minute increments. Current and former M4M cyclists can sign up to ride a road bike on a trainer for a 1-hour time slot.
We will post sign-up links on this page no later than Sept. 1 so that you can choose your time slot!
Parking is available in the Vermont Street Garage.
Friday, Sept. 30, 2016 – M4M Day 1
The Miles for Myeloma cyclists will begin their journey in Columbus, OH. They will ride to Dayton, OH and then on to Richmond, IN, covering 116 miles in a single day.
Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016 – M4M Day 2 & Finish Line Celebration
The cyclists will ride from Richmond, IN to Indianapolis to complete the last leg of Miles for Myeloma 2016.
- 4:15 p.m. – Finish Line Celebration – All are welcome to greet the riders at the Scottish Rite Cathedral, 650 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis. Ample parking is available in the parking lots behind and just north of the Cathedral.
- 5 p.m. – Miles for Myeloma Dinner and Educational Symposium: A dinner and discussion for patients & their families
