Vanessa Kay Guidry and Stephane White are available to counsel individuals and families about the available information resources and support services that aid decision-making.

They assist with patient advocacy, lodging, transportation, financial, disability, and health insurance concerns as well as arranging home care and hospice services. They also provide emotional support and help with communication issues such as: how and what to tell your children, how to discuss end-of-life concerns and how to communicate effectively with your medical team.

Meet Kay Guidry

 

Kay Guidry, MSW, LCSW, has been working with cancer patients since 2007, both in a volunteer capacity and also in her professional career.

Her qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's of social work with a minor in psychology
  • Certification in case management
  • Master's of social work (MSW)
  • Licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in Indiana
  • Member of the National Association of Social Workers and Association of Oncology Social Workers

Meet Stephanie White

 

Stephanie White, MSW, LSW, has been working with cancer patients and their families since 2010. Stephanie has worked with individuals and families at the IU Health Simon Cancer Center as a student/intern, volunteer, and now in her professional career.

 Her qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s of social work with a minor in psychology
  • Certification in case management
  • Master’s of social work  (MSW)
  • Licensed social  worker (LSW) in Indiana
  • Member of the National Association of Social Workers,  Association of Oncology Social Workers, and the Indiana Society for Social Work Leaders in Health Care

    Meet Diane Monceski

    Diane Monceski, MSW, LCSW, has been working with cancer patients and their families since 2004, working at IU Health Methodist Hospital, in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, and at IU Health Simon Cancer Center.

    Her qualifications include:

    • Bachelor's of psychology with a minor in sociology
    • Master's of social work
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Indiana
    • Board member of the IU School of Social Work Alumni Association
