Who are we?
Jamie Case, PhD. in Stem Cell Biology
Jamie is an expert in stem cell biology, specifically hematopoietic and endothelial progenitor cells, and multi-parametric flow cytometry. He has over 18 years of experience in the field of angiogenesis, mammalian and primary cell culture, stem cell isolation and expansion, small animal handling and biological sample collection and processing. He is recognized by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) with a Science Program for Excellence in Science. His work has been published in Angiogenesis, ATVB, Cytometry A, Current Protocols in Cytometry, Experimental Hematology, Annals of New York Academy of Sciences and 30 other peer reviewed journals. Jamie has been invited as a keynote speaker and lecturer at over 70 international and national conferences and symposiums. The ABC is proud to have Jamie as the Director.
Julie Mund, M.S in Cellular and Integrative Physiology
Julie is the expert of multi-parametric flow cytometry, endothelial cell biology and tumor biology. She designed 20 panels for human and murine peripheral blood/bone marrow mononuclear cells, adipose tissue, as well as melanoma, breast cancer, glioblastoma and pancreatic tumor cell lines. She also has developed analysis templates to evaluate multi-parametric flow cytometry experiments for both clinical and pre-clinical use. Her work has been published in Angiogenesis, ATVB, Human Molecular Genetics, as well as 9 other peer reviewed journals. Julie has been invited to lectures across the country and in South America and Europe including: International Stem Cell Research and Therapeutics (San Francisco, USA, 2006), Leiden University Medical Center (Leiden, Netherlands, 2010), INFANT Foundation (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 2010), Gordon Research Seminar (Rhode Island, USA, 2013). The ABC is proud to have Julie as the Scientific Director.
Emily Sims, B.S. in Biology
With more than twenty thousand hours of biotech research experience, Emily is the expert in Angiogenesis, multi-parametric flow cytometry, and hematological malignancies. Her work has been published in Cancer Cell, Blood, MCB as well as other peer reviewed journals. Her work has been presented at various conferences and annual meetings such as The American Society of Hematology (ASH) and Society of Hematology and Stem Cells (ISEH). The ABC is proud to have Emily as the Lab Manager.
Matt Repass, B.S. in Biology
Beyond his two thousands hours of biotech research experience, Matthew has an ever increasing passion and devotion toward biotechnology for the past eight years through both school and prior lab work. His hard work and excellent performance are well recognized by his peers. Matthew is a great asset that the ABC is proud to have.
