Using pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory transgenic mouse models and gene knock-out mouse models to study 1)the relationship between inflammation and cancer formation; 2) tumor immunosuppression of myeloid derived suppressive cells (MDSCs); 3) molecular mechanism of MDSCs development; 4)tumor metastasis by MDSCs; 5) biomarkers for lung cancer diagnosis and prognosis; 6) bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell trans-differentiation to lung tumor progenitor cells.
