My current interests are in the development of novel approaches to the treatment of lung cancer, in particular, immunotherapy-based approaches. I have two ongoing trials looking at consolidation immunotherapy following standard of care chemoradiation for stage III NSCLC. I also have two trials looking at the utility of continuing immunotherapy after progression in metastatic NSCLC. I am also looking at identifying potential biomarkers for the development of pneumonitis following treatment with checkpoint inhibitors. I plan to use current and future trials to further explore and validate these biomarkers, and my future research will continue to explore the role of novel therapies in the treatment of locally advanced and metastatic lung cancer.
