Biological MicroscopyServices

The Indiana Center for Biological Microscopy aims to enhance the quality of research from Indiana University investigators by:

  • providing hands-on access to and training for state-of-the-art confocal, multiphoton and deconvolution microsope systems;
  • providing imaging expertise that guarantees effective exploitation of the imaging technologies of the Center.
  • adapting Center instruments to maximize their productive utilization by investigators regardless of their microscopy or computer expertise.
  • enhancing the productive utilization of the Center's instruments and software by offering seminars, courses and individual training.

Experimental assistance is offered for short-term arrangements. Optical methodologies for investigators in nephrologic and urologic research are available at the O'Brien Center where specific approaches include intravital multiphoton microscopy, 3-dimensional imaging and quantitative microscopic analyses. For more information about the available services and equipment, see the Indiana Center for Biological Microscopy Web site.
