Research Interests
The research in my laboratory focuses primarily on two aspects of cancers. One is drug resistance and the other is cell growth control. In drug resistance, we are investigating the structures and functions of ABC transporters, 14-3-3s, fatty acid synthase. We are also developing sensitizing therapeutics targeting these proteins using chemoinformatics and rational design. In cell growth control, we are investigating how translational initiation factors are involved in regulating signal transduction, cell growth and differentiation.
